History East Lancashire

History of the Scarlet Cord in East Lancashire.

We in the Provincial Grand Senatus of East Lancashire have three Consistories. The first being Vale of Irwell Consistory No 16 Ti which meets in the evening. This was originally the Scarlet Cord Conclave of East Lancashire No 542 that was Consecrated on 27th August 2009 by RWyBro. James McKeeman, Past Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler of Cheshire & North Wales assisted by a Team of Grand & Provincial Officers.  The first Supreme Ruler of No 542 was the Order of the Secret Monitor Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler of East Lancashire – RWyBro Howard Stephen Nuttall.

Beal Valley Consistory No 94 which was consecrated on 5th November 2013 by MW Companion Andrew Sweeney, Grand Summus & meets at Shaw in the morning.

Pomona Consistory No 94 which was consecrated in Salford 3rd February 2015 again by the Grand Summus & meets in conjunction with Fraternity OSM Conclave No 75 also during the day. On this day we were constituted a Province & RtW Comp Howard S Nuttall was elevated from District Grand Inspector to Provincial Grand Summus of East Lancashire.

We have a theme for the naming the consistories it is rivers found in Lancashire and near to where the consistory originally met.
